Steven Moreno is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker with over two decades of experience across feature films, television, commercials, and digital content.
He recently shot and executive produced the indie comedy feature film Sour Party, starring Corey Feldman and Reggie Watts. The film received theatrical distribution through Anchor Bay and was honored with the Andrews/Bernard Award from Roman Coppola’s Decentralized Pictures and was backed by Steven Soderbergh. His recent feature film cinematography credits also include the horror-thriller The Stage, starring Matthew Lawrence and the chart topping documentary “animal.”
Steven’s narrative work is supported by a rich commercial and television portfolio, including directing campaigns for The Home Depot and Telly, and lensing national commercial spots for Ketel One with Patrick Schwarzenegger and Manscaped with Pete Davidson. His TV and branded credits feature collaborations with John Mulaney (Emmy winning Everyone’s in L.A.), Stranger Things, The Umbrella Academy, Kevin Hart, Zooey Deschanel, and Kim Kardashian. His work has appeared in campaigns for Vogue (with Lily-Rose Depp), Angelina Jolie, and the Emmy pre-nominated sci-fi series Orbital Redux.
Steven has lensed two projects starring and directed by Bella Thorne.
He is an alum of Sundance, Tribeca, and the Austin Film Festival.
He is currently attached to direct Frogtown, a gritty, Hamlet inspired feature film rooted in the streets of East Los Angeles, and Covert Christmas, a family action-comedy starring and executive produced by Ronda Rousey.
